à la carte :: join a Cohort workshop
The Cohort is the highest tier of participation in our beloved program for artists BEING & BUSINESS: THE ARTIST COURSE + TOOLKIT ©.
The Cohort is an international community of artists who meet monthly to review course lessons in greater depth. This assists with accountability and provides additional structure to the program.
Whether you’re curious to attend a Cohort meeting before enrolling, or just want to join one specific workshop… we’re happy to have you join our community!
The next Cohort workshop is 5/8 at 1pm ET ~ its theme is: Building Confidence & Community
Following one's passion is a rose blooming out of courage that holds many thorns, mainly lack of confidence and lack of community.
Many artists face difficulty building and maintaining confidence, especially when speaking about their artwork. Naturally so: sharing parts of our souls with the world can be extremely difficult. Creating art is often an artist's main means of expression -- especially if writing, public speaking, and/or self advocacy have proven challenging in the past. Furthermore, advancing in the artworld often goes hand in hand with rejection, which can wither away at artists who do not have confidence reinforcements in place. Can you trust yourself even against adversity and amongst a sea of rejection?
Community plays an essential role in expanding your practice -- through meaningful conversations, learning about new processes and materials, and/or sharing opportunities and resources. In a world full of influencing and individualism, and amongst a variety of art markets, how do you decipher what is a safe, generative, and aligned community?
This workshop includes a presentation, journaling exercises, and a powerful confidence-building / self-trusting meditation. You will leave with deep reverence for your creative purpose, and a variety of touch points to return to whenever confidence and/or community are low so that you remember who you are and why you turned to your passion and voice in the arts in the first place.
Upon purchasing, you will receive:
