The Super Full Moon is on Tuesday, February 19th and this one is going to affect most of us rather strongly. A Super Moon takes place when the Full Moon is closest to the Earth in the moon’s elliptical orbit. Our more obvious relationship with the Super Moon is we experience that the moon appears about 14% larger to us than normal, and about 30% brighter. Whether you have a regular moon manifestation practice or not, we all feel the potency of the moon when it’s orbiting closest to us and our earth’s tides…
But not all of her effects are that easy to spot – nor are they immediate! This moon in particular is in Virgo which is an earth sign. It is suggested while the moon is more potent (via its proximity) & in this particular sign that one stays home in a comfortable/intimate space and manifests alone. Just you and the moon. Listening. Writing. Breathing. Howling, maybe?
We will be gathering the night before the moon’s proximity has fully hit our Earth, to use the warmth buildup of Virgo + our intentions set in circle together to channel our most personal, intuitive intentions throughout the rest of Winter when we actually sit alone the following night for the Full Moon. This circle will focus on the “I AM” narrative – something we all tend to lose sight of in Winter.
Channeling our inner Virgos, the aftermath of a potent moon (& much needed time alone), you will be guided through a Meditation & Reiki that will align your chakras and restore your self-talk.

Please bring a journal and pen, and an object related to you that is a representation of the YOU that you want to channel in 2019 (this could be a photograph, a vision board, a paper with writing of goals).

WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA?
Yoga Nidra, derived from an ancient Tantra yoga practice, is a simple and efficient way to deeply relax while remaining conscious to reduce anxiety, stress, and insomnia. It is a kind of mediation performed lying down in savasana and is suitable for all ages and abilities. During the practice, we sink into the parasympathetic nervous system and enter the hypnogogic state, the state between being awake and being asleep. When we stay in this place for 20 minutes it is the equivalent of 4 hours of sleep.
The Yoga Nidra process is a voice-guided meditation that includes a body focusing exercise that creates a circuit of energy in the motor cortext to relax the brain, some breath and sound awareness practices, and some visualization activities.
