NEW MOON CIRCLE: Meditation, Intention-Setting, Reiki & Yoga Nidra

The new moon allows for a fresh start each month as it begins its newest cycle. 

The Leo season in particular has hit us with five planets in retrogade, a lunar eclipse AND a full blood moon. Needless to say, you've probably been thrown for more than one loop this past month. Before saying goodbye to summer, gather to realign to make the best of these changes to enjoy the last days of full sun. Meditate, align your chakras, set strong intentions, and ground your body to put your best foot forward for the Fall.

Join local Energy Healer & Reiki Practitioner Cierra Rossy + Latela Art Gallery Director and Dharma Yoga Instructor Marta Staudinger for a gathering that will promote clarification through Meditation, cleansing through Reiki & grounding through Yoga Nidra.

This special gathering is usually limited to 8-10 participants & is hosted monthly. This moon circle takes place at the Latela Art Gallery.

This workshop includes the following:

1 - A discussion on the astrology, chakra, and the energetic elements associated with this New Moon 

2 - A group-led meditation to align the chakras while the room & our bodies are Reiki'ed with a collection of Healing Crystals we have in the gallery.

3 - A Yoga Nidra practice that focuses on the Root chakra, energizing the spirit, and weeding out that which no longer serves from the subconscious and unconscious mind.

4 - A group New Moon intention-setting ritual and set of journaling prompts channeled to realign the root and crown chakra energy and to guide you to divine your own personal ritual.

Consider this New Moon an opportunity to restart for the next 6 months to come into this Fall and Winter season. It's time to get out of old habits, reconnect with universal energetic flow, and create from your highest self. 




Please bring a journal and pen, blanket, eye pillow if you have one, and an object related to your home that helps you feel grounded that you wish to recharge at our shared altar.


Reiki, meaning ‘Universal Energy’ is an ancient and natural energy healing technique where the practitioner serves as a vessel to balance the subtle energies within our bodies. During a Reiki session, the practitioner uses a light touch to channel universal energy to a patient’s body. 

The purpose of Reiki Healing is to promote relaxation and stress reduction as well as restore balance and eliminate blockages. This process addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances as well as aligns the chakras.

YES! We will walk you through the basics and make sure we're focusing on the areas that best serve you during this workshop and its greater themes. This is why we keep circles small and have two leaders to be able to individually assist as well.


Yoga Nidra, derived from an ancient Tantra yoga practice, is a simple and efficient way to deeply relax while remaining conscious to reduce anxiety, stress, and insomnia. It is a kind of mediation performed lying down in savasana and is suitable for all ages and abilities. During the practice, we sink into the parasympathetic nervous system and enter the hypnogogic state, the state between being awake and being asleep. When we stay in this place for 20 minutes it is the equivalent of 4 hours of sleep. 

The Yoga Nidra process is a voice-guided meditation that includes a body focusing exercise that creates a circuit of energy in the motor cortext to relax the brain, some breath and sound awareness practices, and some visualization activities. 


1. Improve focus, clarity, creativity, and productivity

2. Deeply relax to reduce physical, psychological, and emotional tension

3. "Weed the garden" by release stored memories and traumas from your subconscious

4. Recover from injury, surgery, jet lag, or too many late nights
