Latela Curatorial is a full service Art Consulting Boutique that is dedicated to helping artists increase their value. Whether you are just beginning your creative career, looking to rebrand, need help with marketing, or just need a neutral party to soundboard ideas or review contracts/proposals… we are here to take the administrative noise out of your creative thought-cloud!

SERVICES

We offer a specific assortment of services to help professional artists & curators build their business which can be explored through One-on-one Consultations (in person or via Skype). Some artists only require one meeting, others need a few check in’s to establish a solid foundation + work flow. A plan is recommended after the first meeting based on the artists’ professional goals. Package Combinations are available for artists interested in more than one service.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops are hosted on a monthly basis at various locations. Occasionally we may offer a workshop digitally. All upcoming offerings can be found on our calendar. If you’d like us to host a workshop in your city/venue, please contact us to discuss partnership.

SUBMISSIONS

Our SUBMISSION PORTAL for Art & Exhibition Proposals opens every Fall. This is the only time Latela Curatorial accepts submitted artwork. Emails from artists submitting work at any time other than during a Latela Curatorial Art Call will not be read. Artists & Curators on our Newsletter are notified of all opportunities first. Voices from around the globe are invited to apply to submissions.

SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.

CURATORIAL APPRENTICESHIP

LATELA provides the opportunity for two Curatorial Apprentices per year to gain behind the scenes experience in the fast-paced art business. This hands-on experience is designed as an Introductory Curatorial Course and teaches the practical tasks related to working in an art gallery that are not taught in a BA or MA academic program. This unique opportunity allows the Apprentice to curate an exhibition from start to finish to be presented to LATELA’s audience at-large.

Spring Semester Apprenticeships begin every March with an exhibition in August.

Fall Semester Apprenticeships begin every August with an exhibition in January.

Please fill out the below interest form to receive information on pricing and payment plans.

RESIDENCY FOR ARTISTS & CURATORS

Due to the lack of affordable artist space in Washington DC, the Latela Art Gallery is interested in sharing space, whenever possible, with local artists & curators who need a space to realize projects. Because we need to offer this strategically in between the gallery's exhibition programming & our own curatorial projects, this is not (yet) a regular, on-going residency program.

Our gallery/studio is also available for rent for artist content photoshoots: more info here.

Please feel free to inquire as the more information we know about your needs the more we may be able to adapt.
